Me date 17 Korrik 2012, ora 19.30 prezanton ekspoziten personale te artistit dhe kuratorit Artan Shabani: “Your Only Real Thing Is Time”. Kjo ekspozite konsiston ne prezantimin e nje serie te vone, cikel te cilin Shabani e ka promovuar ne vitet e fundit. Kjo ekpozite personale eshte shume me komplekse se sa nje prezantim pikturash e kolazhesh. Ajo starton ne piken nevralgjike te memories, ne pjesen kur dikur autobuzat niseshin nga qendra e Vlores te ngarkuar dhe te anuar disi nga pesha e punetoreve per drejtimin nga pylli, por i pagezuar si pylli i sodes kaustike… kesaj substance i ishte dedikuar nje monument i cili eshte ende disi i gjalle dhe quhet pylli i sodes, por prej 20 vitesh pa sode dhe pa arome sapuni apo ndricim neonesh …e gjitha kjo pjese industriale ishte zona e bregdetit ranor ne drejtim te Zvernecit, pylli, soda, fabrika e neoneve, kapanonet… Kjo nuk eshte nje reference retorike per te zbukuar lenden fale elementit joshes se memories.

 

Kjo eshte ajo qe ndryshe perceptohet si: askush nuk eshte aq i pasur sa te bleje dhe te kaluaren e tij. Por qellimi kryesor i Shabanit ne kete projekt eshte reflektimi rreth mutacioneve qe aplikon koha dhe rregullat e saj. Aty ku dikur autobusat me turnet e punetoreve, aty ku shpesh realizoheshin ekspozita amatoriale te piktoreve vendas te standartizuar me idealin e realizmit socialist, tashme aty perftohet nje energji bashkohore e suportuar nga arkitektura me avangarde. Paradoksi ne kete aspekt mban vetem vulen e kohes, eshte vetem ky element qe ka rendesi ne projektin aktual te artistit.

 

Koha si matesi me i fermentues i hierarkive dhe metamorfozave. I gjithe projekti i Artan Shabani shtrihet ne kete platforme, te cilen ai e ilustron me imazhet e se kaluares, gjineza memoriale, qe i korrekton dhe manipulon me barometrin e kohes. Kolazhet dhe pikturat e tij i perkasin filozofise aktuale te riciklimit, ku artistet bashkohore kane pershtatur kerkimet e tyre. “Your Only Real Thing Is Time” eshte ekpozita e pare e realizuar ne ambientet e PIA Residental AREA. Ajo do te qendroje e hapur per publikun deri ne daten 10 shtator. Mandej ekspozita do te transferohet ne hapesirat e The Promenade Gallery te Vlores.

Artan Shabani was born in 1969 in Vlora. Lives and works in Turin, Venice and Vlora. After his studies in Albania he moved to Italy and than France and Spain, when he worked on different projects. In 2003 he was the winner of Special Prize at Osterbottens Museum in Vaasa. Shabani is the founder of The Promenade Gallery (2007). At 2009 also was the curator of Albania & Kosovo Pavilion, Prague Biennial 4. He has exhibited at The Promenade Gallery Vlora,
